By Rail

Glastonbury does not have a rail station. The nearest stations are Castle Cary, Taunton and Bristol. Taunton and Bristol both offer a bus service from the station to Glastonbury but Castle Cary is a little more remote and it is advisable to take a taxi (approximately £25; travelling time 30 minutes).

By Car

On arriving in Glastonbury from M5 or A39 from Wells, follow the signs for Town Centre. Drive all the way to the top of the High Street and at the T-junction turn right. Drive through the traffic calming chicane and almost immediately the entrance to Abbey House is on the right (opposite Dod Lane) There is ample parking on site.

If you are arriving on the A361 from Shepton Mallet, as you approach Glastonbury there is a mini roundabout. Go straight across. You will see the high, stone perimeter wall of the Abbey on your left. The entrance to Abbey House is on the left, just before the traffic calming chicane.

By Air

The nearest airport is Bristol. You can either take a taxi (£50 pre-booked Glastonbury taxi; £70 airport taxi) or there is an airport bus to take you into the city centre. You then change onto the Glastonbury bus. There is a regular service during the day. Please check the web sites below for details.
